Soy wax or soy paraffin blend?

Pure Natural Soy Wax

Natural soy wax has become the preferred option in recent times due to its numerous health benefits.

Natural soy wax burns cleaner, ensuring a healthier environment, while still delivering a delightful scent throw.

The only real downfall to soy wax is it doesn't cope very well in hot weather.

It goes quite soft and will usually sweat, if you've ever seen little droplets on the surface of your candle that is the soy wax sweating.

But thankfully, It doesn't effect your candle in any way, if you don't like the look of it you can dab it with a tissue, otherwise you don't have to do anything and you can light the candle as normal.

Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans. After harvesting, the beans are cleaned, cracked, de-hulled, and rolled into flakes. The oil is then extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated.

The hydrogenation process converts some of the fatty acids in the oil from unsaturated to saturated. This process dramatically alters the melting point of the oil, making it solid at room temperature. The leftover bean husks are commonly used as animal feed.

If you're looking for an extra boost in scent throw, our soy/paraffin blend is the perfect choice.

It combines the goodness of natural soy wax with a touch of paraffin to create a harmonious balance that brings a strong and captivating aroma to any space.

Our blend only has a small amount of paraffin!

Excellent Scent Throw: Paraffin is known for its ability to hold fragrance well. This means that paraffin candles generally have a more robust and longer-lasting scent, making them popular for scented candles.

Longer Burn Time: Because paraffin is harder than other types of waxes, candles made from it tend to have a longer burn time. This makes them last longer and ideal for longer occasions.

Cosmetically, paraffin wax is more aesthetically pleasing as it does not sweat or melt in the heat.

With its thermal properties, paraffin wax is an excellent heat conductor that emits a steady glow when lit.

An age-old material, paraffin is a type of candle wax that has been used for centuries to make candles. It’s made from petroleum by-products and consists of hydrocarbon molecules composed of hydrogen and carbon atoms.

Soy/Paraffin Blend Wax

While paraffin wax was commonly used in the past, the introduction of soy wax revolutionized the candle industry. However, many renowned brands like Glass House still use a soy/paraffin blend to achieve that remarkable scent throw customers adore.
